Selector lever 1

R: reverse.

N: neutral.

D: moving off forwards normally.

B: moving off forwards with strong regenerative braking.

The A indicator light displays the gear engaged.

The following informative symbols may appear on the instrument panel display B:

2: position of the gear engaged;

3: position accessible from the current position by moving the selector lever 1 one notch forwards or backwards;

4: position accessible from the current position by moving the selector lever 1 two notches forwards or backwards.

The 3 or 4 symbols are displayed to indicate the gears that can be selected. If these symbols are absent this indicates that the gears cannot be selected from the current position.

The required gear will flash on the instrument panel if a gear is not accessible from the engaged position of the lever.

Operation

With the engine running READY message lit on the instrument panel STARTING, STOPPING THE ENGINE, the gear control is automatically in N position.

To exit position N, it is essential to depress the front brake pedal.

With your foot on the brake pedal (warning light c on display A goes out), move the lever out of position N.

The vehicle can only be started if the charging cord is unplugged from the vehicle.

Obstructions to the driver

On the driver’s side, only use mats suitable for the vehicle, attached with the pre-fitted components, and check the fitting regularly. Do not lay one mat on top of another. There is a risk of wedging the pedals

One-touch selector

Move the selector lever 1 one or two notches forwards or backwards to engage the desired position (R, N, D or B) then release the lever and it will return to a stable position.

The selected position is displayed on the instrument panel along with the 2 warning light in front of the position.

If certain conditions prevent shifting from one position to another, the requested position flashes on the instrument panel.

Driving in mode D

When you select position D when the vehicle is stationary, the vehicle moves forward as soon as you release the brake pedal (without pressing on the accelerator pedal).

While driving, press the accelerator pedal to achieve the desired speed.

Driving in mode B

This mode allows driving with a more dynamic regenerative mode. When releasing the accelerator, the vehicle uses regenerative braking to slow down the vehicle. Thus the motor generates higher electrical current which allows the traction battery to be recharged.

When you select position B when the vehicle is stationary, the vehicle moves forward as soon as you release the brake pedal (without pressing on the accelerator pedal).

In B mode, the regenerative braking will be reduced if the accumulator is cold or completely charged.

Move from D position to B or B to D

To switch from one position to the other, tilt the lever to one notch or two notches backwards.

The selected position, lit up on the instrument panel, alongside warning light 2, will confirm the position of the gear control.

The last selected position (B or D) is stored and will be the first of the two positions accessible from the current position N or R.

To select reverse gear

With the vehicle stationary, engine running, Nposition, D or B engaged, depress the brake pedal and move forward the lever by two notches, R lights up on the instrument panel.

The reversing lights will illuminate as soon as reverse gear is selected (ignition on) and, depending on the vehicle, the reversing camera REVERSING CAMERA.

Note: with the engine running, the vehicle moving between 0 and 5 mph (8 km/h) and position N or R engaged, it is not necessary to depress the brake pedal to engage the position D. This is useful when parking manoeuvres require alternating forward and reverse gearing.

Parking the vehicle

With the vehicle stationary, stop the engine. Neutral position is engaged and the electronic parking brake is applied automatically.

Operating faults

During driving:

- if the message “WARNING: Check Gearbox” appears on the instrument panel, this indicates a fault.

Contact your approved Dealer as soon as possible;

- if the message “WARNING: Gearbox Overheating” appears on the instrument panel, stop as soon as possible to allow the gearbox to cool down and wait for the message to disappear.

When the door is opened, the message “Select NEUTRAL N” is displayed on the instrument panel if the gear control is in a position other than N and the engine is not switched off.

The N position of the lever does not mechanically lock the drive wheels, make sure it is immobilised before leaving the vehicle.

In the event of an impact to the underside of the vehicle (e.g.: striking a post, raised kerb or other street furniture), this may result in damage to the vehicle (e.g.: twisted axle), the electrical circuit or the traction battery.

Do not touch the circuit elements or any fluids or liquids.

To prevent any risk of accident, have your vehicle checked by an authorised dealer.

Risk of serious injury or electric shock and risk to life.
